Explosive Actuator Outstation

Introduction

The Control Equipment A1493 Explosive Actuator Outstation provides loop control of 2 independent explosive actuator circuits and can monitor up to 3 voltage free inputs or 2 fire detection zones when used in conjunction with the A1447 Zone Monitor Unit..

The actuator outputs are controlled independently by command output bits 0 and 1.

Output circuit 2 has a built-in delay of 0.5 seconds to minimise the load on the power supply during simultaneous output operation. Each output circuit is powered by a local 24V power supply which is monitored for failure and is optically isolated from the loop.

Both outputs are monitored for open circuit faults and can be completely isolated by the removal of a fuse from each leg of the outputs. 

The outstation also has a changeover relay which is operated by command bit 2.
